Permanent Residency (PR)

Stop Counting Days. Make Canada Your Permanent Home.

Transitioning from a temporary resident to a Permanent Resident is the ultimate goal for many. UMPC LAW helps you navigate the complex points systems and immigration streams to secure your future in Canada—forever.

Overview of the Legal Issue

Achieving Permanent Residency (PR) is a life-changing milestone, but the path is often confusing and highly competitive. Canada offers dozens of economic immigration pathways, including Express Entry, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), and the Atlantic Immigration Program.

However, the “Points System” (CRS) is unforgiving. A simple error in calculating your work experience hours, a misunderstood NOC code, or a missing police certificate can lead to a rejection or a finding of misrepresentation—which bans you from applying again for five years. With immigration quotas shifting and draw scores fluctuating, you need a strategy, not just an application.

How UMPC LAW Helps

We do not just file paperwork; we strategize your life in Canada. We analyze your unique profile—age, education, language, and work experience—to find the pathway with the highest chance of success.

Express Entry Strategy

We maximize your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and ensure your profile is “draw-ready” to avoid missed Invitations to Apply (ITA).

PNP Expertise

As an Alberta-based firm, we specialize in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), helping workers with job offers in Calgary and beyond leverage provincial nominations to boost their PR chances.

Humanitarian & Compassionate (H&C)

For clients who do not fit standard economic categories, we build powerful cases based on establishment in Canada and the best interests of children.

The Legal Process

What to Expect

  1. Comprehensive Assessment: We review your credentials to determine eligibility for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), or Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP).
  2. Profile Creation: We create your Express Entry or EOI profile, ensuring every claim is backed by verifiable evidence.
  3. Invitation & Submission: Once you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), we have 60 days to submit the full application. We meticulously review medicals, police checks, and employment letters.
  4. Finalization: We monitor the application until the “Golden Email” arrives (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) and guide you through the landing process.
